I'm a sucker for interesting high tech devices and this Dyson AM02 Blue Fan is an absolute Work of Art. It's truly stunningly beautiful with the Dark Grey base and Deep Blue inner color. This Fan looks more like a modern art sculpture than a Fan. It stands 40 Inches high, the base is 9.5 inches wide. It looks very dramatic and adds a strong visual element to the room. Everyone who sees this fan is amazed by how interesting it looks and wants to talk about it, feel it work etc.
The fan itself works great and moves a lot of air. It's very quiet except on the very highest setting but what fan isn't loud on high? Even on the highest setting it's not really loud, more of a blowing air sound that I find quite enjoyable and soothing. I tend to keep it on the medium to low settings most of the time and the airflow is more than adequate.
Interestingly the fan seems to SUCK the air from behind it and accelerate it through the opening like a vortex. The fan blows air about 10 feet into the room space ahead of it.
The remote control is very cool and functional allowing you to turn the fan on and off, adjust the speed, and turn the oscillation feature on and off. The remote stores on top of the fan with a strong magnet which holds it in place so you don't loose it. It's a very cool design.
If you know someone who likes gadgets or high tech stuff or for that person who has everything and you want to get them a gift buy them one of these Dyson Fans I assure you they will love it!!
